I began working with ceramics a couple years ago, and it quickly turned into a passion. Whereas in design or illustration there an unavoidable interface mediating between oneself and what’s being made, clay allows for direct hand-manipulation of forms that is instinctual and very refreshing. I feel I’m forever learning when I sit in front of the pottery wheel, like a perpetual beginner student discovering a new craft.
