Five days in Florence
After the weekend in Munich I took a flight to Florence, where I spent five great days. During that time, I pretty much saw all the sights, walked until my feet begged me to stop, and ate until my stomach asked me to reconsidered (which I didn’t).
I found this city to be so scenic that I couldn’t stop taking pictures.
Before flying I asked my friend Jon to give me some suggestions for places to eat, as he and his wife had been to Florence in the past. Sadly he was too busy running his fantasy baseball league, but she stepped up to the challenge.
To which I’m very grateful, because every place I went was incredible, including dinner at Il Pizzaiuolo, gelato at Rivareno Gelato, lunch at Trattoria Mario, gelato at Gelateria Perché No!, dinner at Alla Vecchia Betolla, gelato at Festival del Gelato, lunch at Trattoria Sostanza, dinner at Osteria dé Benci, and lunch at Osteria Santo Spirito. For drinks I went to Volume or to Sant’Ambrogio Caffè.
The next stop was Bologna, which I blogged about in an earlier post.

Perfetto! E che belle immagini! Firenze è la mia città preferita in Italia…
